Heal the World ♪♫ - Michael Jackson

Hey guys! :) So, in light of recent events, I felt that I need to send out a bit of positive energy to the world. For some, this might be a frightening and fearful time, for others maybe not as much. The way I see it, a lot of measures are being taken for our own safety and our own good. For starters, we are all being encouraged to stay inside. It might seem scary and you might feel trapped. There are so many moments in our life when we are asked to think outside the box... this is just another one of those moments. 

1. Give a helping hand - stay inside 

2. Love as much as you can - use this time well, enjoy being together, spend time on the sofa with your children, everyone has a busy lifestyle and we are ALWAYS complaining that we don't have enough time for each other, weekend is too short - MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME TOGETHER, this is a once in a lifetime experience!

3. Go for a holiday - you have all the time in the world to read all those books that you haven't found the time to read yet, watch that Disney Classic or fiction movie that will transport you to another world!

4. Get creative - play some board games, paint the walls of the house, do that spring cleaning tournament that you have been waiting for the proper moment to get done, cook something that helps you relax and spend more time in the kitchen. 

5. Let us all unite in prayer for all those doctors, nurses and authorities who are doing their utmost to keep us safe and healthy. Thank you! You are doing so much! If you really respect and appreciate their work, stay inside to help reduce the spread.

Hey guys! :) Hope you are all doing great! So today I wanted to start off by asking you a question... Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you had to remain silent, irrelevant of what is right or wrong, because you feel unworthy and helpless in front of someone who presents himself as your superior? 

Yes, it sucks, and you feel like your whole world is crashing down. But, in times like these, even though it's hard, it's good to remember that these people who are 'superior' are really just the same as we are, trying to find a place in this world, and are probably even more lost than we are. 

So, don't let these people get you down. The world isn't made up of good people and bad people. What matters is the path you choose to act on. Being strong and confident in such situations speaks volumes about yourself. Don't let them get into your head - walk tall, head high and believe in yourself because you've got a lot to offer the world. 

Use the broken wings they have given you and let them watch you burn across the sky! 

Never let anyone let you go speechless! Remember that ;)

Rewrite the Stars ♪♫ - The Greatest Showman

Hey guys :) So it's been quite some time since I last checked in here but life happened! Anyway... today I'd like to share with you some thoughts from one of the latest musicals 'The Greatest Showman'. Personally, I think that this musical revolves around a lot of life issues and manages to deal with each one as a celebration. Today, my thoughts go out to all those couples struggling with their relationships because they're scared of letting them out in the open. 

 

It is so unfair that people feel pressured when expressing what they really feel for someone. Why shouldn't we all be free to love whoever we want? Some might say it was a taboo of the past. Unfortunately, today, we still meet a lot of people who are hurt because they are forced to hide their relationship with someone just because others don't approve of it. We should never judge by appearance; on the other hand, we should be willing to celebrate people who are different from us... they add colour to our lives! 

♪♫ What if we rewrite the stars ... say you were made to be mine ... nothing could keep us apart and you'd be the one I was meant to find ... it's up to you and it's up to me ... no one can say what we get to be ... so why don't we rewrite the stars maybe the world could be ours tonight ♪♫ 

This is what we should call a "celebration of humanity".

Emma's Theme ♪♫ - Jennifer Morrison

Hey guys :) So today I decided to share with you some thoughts from my favourite Series, Once Upon a Time. Of all the songs in the musical episode, I think that this song really digs deep into a person's heart and soul. It's the moment when Emma really admits who she really is ... not only that she has been a lost girl all her life but also that she did finally find what she was looking for - her family. 

I'd like to dedicate this song to all those who are searching for something or someone and have been doing so their entire life. In times of absolute darkness it's very easy to give up and let your anger take over your life. The heartbreak can also lead you to do unspeakable things but running from your troubles is never the answer. You have to look for your life, even if the search seems futile and in vain because if you ever stop looking you will never find the answers. 

And sometimes, the answer is right in front of us and all we need to do is open our eyes to see it!

Hey guys! So it's been some time since I tuned in but life happens! The song I have chosen is the entry that my country, Malta, has chosen to represent us in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Portugal. 

Everyone has his/her own story to tell so before we start judging and shooting conclusions about people we should get to know them first. Everyone is a human being with a heart that feels and beats as much as yours so when you meet someone make sure to be nice and friendly because you can never know exactly what goes on in their mind and in their life. People who suffer in silence when no-one else is looking are not weird or any different from us ... they are just looking out for us to understand them and be their friend. 

It doesn't take much to get out of your comfort zone and be a friend to someone who may seem different from you. All it takes is a little courage and faith to take the first step and do the right thing. Someone is waiting to take your hand and be your friend ... gotta be your own miracle!

Hey there! So lately I was thinking about how many people suffer in silence because they feel like no-one understands them. This is such a sad truth and reality because everyone, no matter who you are or how you look, should be celebrated for who s/he is. And it is also very important to take very good care of your friends who might seem different from the rest of the world. I, for one, really admire people who have the courage to take their life into their own hands. It seems like most people are more concerned about fitting in rather than standing out which is a real shame. Talented people are to be loved and cherished not hidden away. 

So, don't let anybody tell you that you're not loved ... and don't let anybody tell you that you're not enough ... yeah there are days when we all feel like we're messed up ... but the truth is that we're all diamonds in the rough.

So don't be afraid to wear your crown ... you're a king, you're a queen, inside and out! :)

Hello everyone! :) A bit of a different note today, an upbeat song which is not similar to what I have been posting so far. However, the lyrics of this song really make me stop and think about lots of things in life, especially the people that we love. 

How many times have we taken the people around for granted and never stopped to even consider the possibility of appreciating what they do for us? How many times have we actually stopped to think about how short life is and that we have to live each day to the full with no regrets? Throughout my life I've come to realize that love doesn't come around everyday and, when it does, you just have to grab it and hold on. I've also become aware of how important it is that when you love someone you don't hold it in, you say it, because at the end of the day our life would suck without the people that we love.

Hey everyone :) So today I was inspired by another love song, this time from Avatar. What amazes me every single time is that love exists in so many different forms that you can never understand every one. Some forms of love may not even make sense to us but that is what makes them unique and special. 

Love, whatever its form, is something that makes you feel appreciated, special, loved and safe. It doesn't have to be the love between a couple to make you feel that way. Love can exist between friends, cousins, siblings, etc. If it makes you feel significant to someone, than you love someone and are loved in return!

Hello bloggers! I know I haven't been around in a very long time but I'm back now!! :) My inspiration today comes from some of my closest friends who have recently tied the knot! Love doesn't come around all the time but when it does you just have to grab it and hold on. There's something remarkably beautiful of sharing your life with someone who sees you when you are invisible to everyone else. 

What makes all of this real is the realization that reality is a thousand times better than your dreams and nothing else can top that. And having true friends around you who have witnessed the beginning and blossoming of every love story makes the ride even more worthwhile. You know you are not alone anymore when invisibility isn't an option for everyone who cares about you and that is what true love is.

Hi guys, hope you're doing great! So, this week's song is from one of my idols Carrie Underwood - Jesus, take the wheel. The first time I heard this song I knew that I would be hearing it so many times, especially during moments in life when we literally have to leave everything in God's hands because trying to handle the situation ourselves only creates a bigger chaos! 

How many times have you felt that you cannot go on and that you should give up altogether? How many times have you felt alone, with no one to talk to and no shoulder to cry on? How many times have you tried saying your prayers but it seems like no one is hearing you? Well, God works in a lot of mysterious ways but God isn't constantly on call. It takes time for him to work in our lives and all we can do is be patient and wait. Sometimes bad things happen in life, things that we cannot understand and have no control over... that is the moment when we have to let go and fall into the arms of Jesus. I believe that good things come to those who wait and seeing the bigger picture helps us appreciate more what we have and not worry about what we lost. We might not be aware of it at the time but God will always be carrying us through our toughest battles. 

Sometimes, letting life take its course allows us to deal more calmly with the situation rather than trying to take control of it all. Life's a climb, but the view's great ;)

Here is a song from my all time role model, Laura Pausini... I love everything about her! Today's song is about different friendships and relationships that get lost somewhere along the way because of individuals who don't invest enough to keep such a friendship or relationship alive. And I think it is really sad when people just toss away friendships and relationships into the trash just because they found something or someone more interesting. 

When dealing with human beings you can never forget that they have feelings just like everyone else. Someone once told me that people come and go in our lives, but only a few leave that special feeling in your heart that lasts forever. And that's the thing about life, holding on to friendships and relationships is about growing as person and not being afraid to grow along side those friendships and relationships. Unfortunately, many people think that growing up means letting go of what was once dear and moving on to new, brighter and more exciting things. And that is what makes it so sad because that is not the definition of growing up but the definition of becoming snob. 

People change, without any reason sometimes, leaving a lot of hurt and anger behind them and that is a real shame because, one day, the people who will end up lonely will be exactly them... but if you treat people like they truly matter, the whole world will smile back at you.

Hey guys :-) Hope you had a good week and I wish you all a good start to another week! Today's song is a song by two members of the cast of Glee and I'm guessing most of you are already thinking... Oh geez! Where is she going with this?!! Don't worry, I'm not fussy over the program but I have to be honest, I like their taste in music!

This song expresses an emotion which many people find so hard to express ... being honest with one another, telling the truth even when it hurts, not being afraid to show how you really feel about something or someone ... Let's face it, how many of us are always honest, always truthful and never afraid to show their real feelings?? Yeah, I thought so =P.

See, the thing is, our world is already characterized by so much hurt, pain, sorrow that sometimes it's very hard to keep track of all the beautiful things surrounding us and, unfortunately, we ignore most of the beauty around us. Some people say, 'be the change you want to see in the world' and that starts by appreciating better what you have right now. Life is too short to spend your life dwelling on what went wrong and holding on to things that you should have let go a long time ago. Give it a try, it's not difficult to pass a compliment once in a while, or being honest with someone about something that's bothering you or maybe you cannot live without.

How far I’ll go ♪♫ – Alessia Cara

Hey guys... today’s song is inspired once again by Disney. This time, the new animated movie Moana. I haven’t had the time to actually sit down and watch the movie yet due to my busy and hectic life (which I plan on doing some time soon!) however I have heard this song about a hundred times already.

This song is about going the distance and defying all odds to be the person you were born to be.. but let’s face it, the hardest thing to do in life is being yourself especially when the people around you tell you who you should be.. and that makes you feel like the odd one out. From my personal experience I can say that being yourself is tough but at the end of day it’s worth it. It’s probably the hardest thing in this world but if you believe in yourself enough you will get there.

Think again, how many times have you actually fallen in love with something but then don’t buy it because people say that it’s not in fashion? How many times have you gone out to eat and longed to eat your favourite plate which you’ve been preparing your stomach for and then end up eating something else because all your friends choose the same thing and you don’t want to be different to avoid all the looks?

Being yourself is tough, but it’s the only thing that keeps you happy and warm at night!

Beauty and the Beast ♪♫ – Ariana Grande & John Legend

So today I was inspired by one of the latest released songs – Beauty and the Beast – as interpreted by Ariana Grande and John Legend. At the moment, everyone is currently caught up in the hype of the latest movie, Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. Emma has always been a role model to me, especially since I grew up in the wonderful, magical world of Harry Potter, which defined me for most of my life!

So here’s the thing, today’s world has unfortunately been characterized so much by cruelty, wars, injustice and so on that it’s become almost impossible to see the beauty of this world around us. And it’s become even more difficult to find people who actually appreciate what they have right in front of them. Beauty and the Beast isn’t just a kids movie or a modern adaptation of that... it’s so much more! And the hardest thing of all is actually finding that one person who can see the beauty inside another person, despite all the odds and obstacles blocking that beauty. Finding that beauty inside a person isn’t as easy as it sounds... you have to go beyond every beast standing in the way of that beauty.. trust, walls, fear, failure... and that is the definition of true love. True love isn’t just finding someone you love and cannot live without. True love comes in all forms and you find it between all sorts of people.. brothers, sisters, cousins, friendship... and if you find that someone who can break down your walls and celebrate your beauty, than you can consider yourself as a lucky person indeed!

Love conquers everything and love is the definition of beauty inside each and every one of us.

Pure Imagination ♪♫ - Josh Groban

So here goes, my first post in this musical journey. It’s only fitting that we begin this journey with the song which inspired me to put up this blog... and, hence, the name of my blog! For many of us, this song reminds us of the fabulous world of Charlie and the chocolate factory – I love chocolate! , and for some, this song is just an association to the fantasy world of kids.

But if you look closely at the lyrics of the song and think... how many people do you know that don’t dream? Everywhere you go, people are constantly dreaming about something. Some dream of one day owning that fabulous car they’ve been saving for their entire life... others dream that one day they will actually find their dream job... others dream of travelling the globe and literally getting in touch with all the wonders of nature... Tell me again, how many people do you know that don’t dream? Yeah... not much of a fantasy world any more now right? ..... thought so! :-)

So here’s the thing... imagination, dreams and creativity are extraordinary vessels designed to transport a person into his/her own world, far away from the real world we live in. But isn’t that the driving force that keeps us sane in this world?
